Short Description:

3M Super 88 Vinyl Electrical Tape is a PVC backing with 3M pressure-sensitive and rubber-resin adhesive, which provides electrical and mechanical protection. Scotch Super88 is a premium grade, 0.216mm thick, all-weather PVC insulation tape suitable for use in temperatures ranging from -18°C to 105°C. It features good conformability, UV resistance, wear resistance, anti-corrosion, acid and alkali resistance. Its elastic base material and excellent adhesiveness and tightness achieve mechanical protection and moisture resistance, thereby ensuring electrical properties. We can also provide equivalent quality 3M 88 substitute. The tape is compatible with solid dielectric cable insulations, as well as epoxy and polyurethane resins. UL Listed, CSA Certified and RoHS compliant.

Application:

Scotch@Super 88 tape is commonly used in residential, light and heavy-duty commercial and industrial settings, as well as indoor and outdoor environments. It is also suitable for joint protection and repair of sheaths of high-voltage cables, providing electrical and mechanical protection, and providing protective sheaths for high-voltage cable joints. This tape is highly resistant to UV rays, moisture, alkalis, acids, corrosion and varying weather conditions. Its elastic base material and excellent adhesive, which tightens for mechanical protection and moisture resistance, are used in most electrical maintenance and insulation applications.
