3M 2228 Rubber Mastic Tape is a self-fusing, highly conformable insulating and sealing tape with temperature-stable mastic adhesive designed for electrical and sealing applications. Made of an ethylene Propylene rubber (EPR) backing with mastic rubber adhesive, it provides excellent moisture sealing, weather resistance, and high dielectric strength. This tape is ideal for both indoor and weather-exposed outdoor applications, primary electrical insulation of cables up to 1 kV, moisture sealing for cable splices and terminations, corrosion protection, and cable jacket repair.
